The Marriage of Bette and Boo
-------------------------
Bette and Boo should never have gotten married. Boo is an alcoholic, Bette has dead babies, their in-laws are gibbering sociopaths, and as for their priest - he thinks he's a strip of fried bacon! Savage, tender, and wickedly funny, The Marriage of Bette and Boo is Christopher Durang at his anarchic best.
-------------------------
Synopsis:
Based directly on Christopher Durang's experiences as a child and on his parents' marriage, the play begins on Bette & Boo's wedding day and jumps forward (and back) through an unusually peculiar twenty years of family life with the grandparents, uncles, aunts ... and the family priest. Along the way are more than a few births, deaths, bits of advice, holidays, disagreements, divorces, and (most important of all) fond memories.
